Pink and Purple with some glitter

Hello~

Woohoo I just finished most of my hw! And it's not even midnight! :D
Today I have a very simple manicure.. Just some pretty colors and holographic glitter. ^_^

I think this is two coats of the polishes (?) it's been a while..

Yayy a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over everything~ It makes it look super sparkly and pretty :D

L-R: Orly Lollipop, Butterflies, China Glaze Fairy Dust

Yes, I posed with an orange. 8D

I also posed with a yummy chocolate biscuit... Mmmmmm I'm hungry now.... Dang these pics are from before Christmas last year.. o_o

Overall, I really like this color combo. For some reason, the two Orly shades just go together very nicely. I felt so girly but so cute lol even though the nails were so simple.. I get lazy so many times where I just don't do nail art and just slap on some glitter. ^_^

Quick Review:

Orly Lollipop- This lavender shade is the perfect pastel color for spring~ It's very pink toned, probably the most pink-toned purple in my collection. The formula is manageable, but you have to be careful to avoid streaks. It's opaque in one thick coat or two thin coats. AGH the color makes up for the meh-ok formula.

Orly Butterflies- This is a hot pink jelly polish that is sort of sheer, but opaque in two to three coats. I really like this color as well, and the formula is great! No streaks or anything. It's not necessarily neon, but it's still super bright and pops out and makes your fingers look very nice and girly.

China Glaze Fairy Dust- I think I already reviewed this somewhere, but yup. This is the PERFECT GLITTER FOR ANYTHINGGGGGG like the glitter isn't dense at all and it's also holographic so it'll instantly make any polish look good and sparkly and pretty~ ^o^

Ahh guys I actually made it throughout the whole day without cookies and snacks! :D Let's see how long this goes..

'Til next time~

China Glaze It's a Trap-eze Review

Hi Guys!

Today I have a review of China Glaze It's a Trap-eze.

It's a pink, silver, yellow, green, blue glitter polish with a white base. This polish is different from other glitter polishes. Glitter actually transferred onto my nail with each coat (unlike some other polishes where it takes 4 or 5 coats before glitter is transferred).

 1 Coat
One coat is sheer and slightly streaky.

 2 Coats
With 2 coats, the polish is still sheer, slightly streaky and uneven. 3 coats is more opaque, but still slightly sheer (my bare nail is still slightly visible).

 3 Coats
Overall: I really like this polish. The formula is good. Not too runny and easy to work with. For full opaqueness, I would recommend either doing 4 coats or applying a white polish before applying the glitter. I would recommend it (if you can still find it). I haven't been able to find any dupes yet, but if I do, I'll be sure to do a comparison post.

I hope you enjoyed this post... Have a great rest of the weekend!

NOTD: OPI & China Glaze

Hello :D

This NOTD was one that I wore a while back. I actually wore this on my right hand, while I wore Butter London Royal Navy on my left.

I couldn't take photos of my right hand.. so I ended up swatching them on my left.

I used OPI Into the Night (The Amazing Spider-man Collection) and China Glaze It's a Trap-eze (Cirque du Soleil Collection).

2 Coats of Each Polish

I used Into the Night for my thumb, pointer, middle, and ring finger. I used It's a Trap-eze on my pinky. I would recommend 2-4 coats of Into the Night because the formula is sheer. The formula is streaky and runny (beware of flooded cuticles), but after a few coats, it looks amazing.

It's a Trap-eze was sheer, but not as sheer as other glitter polishes (in-depth review and swatches will be my next post).

Have a great rest of the week!

butter London Blagger Swatch and Review

Hello~

I feel extremely tired today.. Anyways, here are swatches of butter London's Blagger, as well as OPI My Favorite Ornament and OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys. Blagger is such a pretty color, and the formula is perfect.. >_<

I used two coats for each color..

Under artificial light; it makes the polish seem more brighter than it really is.

Under natural indirect light; this lighting shows a more accurate color.

L-R: butter London Blagger, OPI My Favorite Ornament, Suzi Loves Cowboys

woops too lazy to crop..

butter London Blagger: The formula is great and opaque in two thin coats. The color is very pretty; a deep, yet vibrant cobalt blue creme. Also, this didn't really stain my nails. yayy! I think this is one of my favorite blue polishes.

Quick note about Suzi Loves Cowboys: I didn't know the formula for this was so thin! It was very runny and pooled and yup not my most favorite formula. Still, I like the color. :P

Well, I hope you guys have a great rest of the week! I'm going to go doze off now while I try to study for all my tests this week...

New goal! (weight stuff)

Hi guys~

I've decided to go wheat-free again, and so mostly carb-free as well starting tomorrow.
Cold turkey. :P Last time I did this, around this time last year, I went cold turkey as well.
I'm doing this because I feel so guilty after eating what I did today.. I still feel full and it's 12:53 AM (I ate at around 5pm..).
I'll go back to mostly eating lettuce, salad, chicken breast, tomatoes, etc. Ooh I'll replace all my rice and carbs with steamed veggies or something. :D
I've gotten so big to the point where when I walk, I can feel the fat jiggling in my whole body. T_T
I'm not very proud of my lifestyle, and considering how little exercise I get, a low-carb, low-calorie diet should fit my needs. The thing is, for the past 4 days, I tried losing weight by eating whatever I want (which was mostly carbs) in the morning, and not eating anything for the rest of the day. I actually gained more weight somehow... I blame the carbs. :[

I love raspberries! They literally translate to "mountain strawberries" in Korean, which I think is so cute. ahaha..

My Diet Plan:
Breakfast- Banana, sweet potato, water, idk whatever I have time for in the mornings before school..
Lunch- Salad, or nothing..
Dinner- Salad, steamed veggies, sweet potato, some sort of meat..

'Til next time!

NOTD: butter London Royal Navy

Hello!

I hope you all had a fun-filled valentine's day (even though this post has nothing to do with valentine's day..).

I've had many personal issues that I've had to deal with (sorry for the long absence), but I'll hopefully be posting regularly..

This NOTD is one that I wore a while ago:

I originally wore this with only one coat and it looked nice. There were streaks, but you could only see them under certain lights. It did chip the second day, so I would recommend 2/3 coats.

 1 coat

One coat is brighter, in color, than 2 coats. I would recommend a base coat. I found that there was a little staining without a base coat.
2 coats

I hope you all are well in this new year, and I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Currently contemplating..

Hello~

This is another sort of mostly text/rant post. I haven't done these in a while!
Anyways, the thing I'm currently contemplating about is my weight. I've been on tumblr a lot these days, and I see all these beautiful pictures of people with nice, flattering bodies and pretty clothes and perfect skin. And let me tell you, social media is doing it's trick on me; I am so heavily influenced by social standards and stuff.. I wish I wasn't but oh well. I really want to lose weight and have super nice looking thighs so that I can wear clothes that I think look nice (like short shorts and skirts and high top sneakers) and look nice in them. Earlier today, I was looking at myself in the mirror and I focused on my thighs, and then I thought to myself, maybe I should just give up dieting and accept the fact that my thighs will always be thick and muscular. :[

Source
Wahh Park Bom's legs are perfect! I want her outfit too I know pretty casual but still. :o
Source
I really want her shoes in this one too.. But high tops make my legs even more chubby and stubby because my calves are kinda thick.
I think it's cause I'm super hungry and craving all these yummy foods that I'm going crazy..
I should just resist and continue with my diet! :P

Foods I'm currently craving:
-Cheesecake! Especially from The Cheesecake Factory! T_T
-Chicken!
-Jjajangmyun!
-Cola!
-Cookies!
-Brownies!
-Ice cream! (chocolate, pistachio, strawberry, vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough)
-Samgyubsal!
-Pasta!
-Bread!
-Hot pockets!
-Pancakes!
-French Toast!
-Ramen!
-Dumplings!
-Pie!
-Bread! oh my so much bread..

haha I'll stop now.. my mouth is watering just thinking about it..

Kpop Nails: EXO Inspired Valentine's Day Nail Art

Hello~

Happy Valentine's Day! I spent the day eating a lot, then exercising, and now I feel extremely tired because of it. I'm snacking on some choco chips now.. I hope you guys had a great day! Teehee can't wait til I actually "celebrate" Valentine's Day.. One day.. Stay hopeful! >_<;;

Today I have another kpop inspired nail art design.
It's EXO! :D

Most of the nail art was inspired by their album covers.. I mean, hearts and stuff sort of relate to Valentine's day, right?

XOXO is actually a song in their album too.. hehe

I really gotta practice more with nail art.. My hands are so wobbly!

I like my pointer finger or my pinky.. I'll keep on practicing on getting straighter lines guys.. oh and polka dots as well..

L-R: Black acrylic paint, butter London Teddy Girl, Sally Hansen White tip, Rimmel French White Tip Pro, Essie Clambake, Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat
I also used a dotting tool for the polka dots, and some brushes for the nail art.

I need to find a better way to clean my nail art brushes.. It's easy to clean the paint but not the nail polish..

source (not my pic)
They are so adorable! I try to find a bias, but all of them are bias wreckers.. ._.
I know kpop isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it is mine. lol.. I've been trying to bargain with myself, saying things like "If I don't eat that cookie, I get to watch one more music video!" I end up eating the cookie while watching the music video.. derp!

Last night, while I was super hungry at 2am, I asked myself, do I want food or do I want love? Yeah I ask myself crazy questions when I hungry. I was really craving Korean fried chicken.. T_T

Have a great rest of the day guys!

'Til next time~

(On a side note..)

Yummy food~ (why I fail at dieting)

Hello,

Ah I'm so hungry right now so I decided to look back at my food pics.. I love food..
I am never lazy to eat.

Bulgogi Sandwich with Corn Cream Soup
Ahh I love the thick white bread from Asian bakeries.. but one slice is like 90 calories *cries*

I had a chicken biscuit the other day and they were in heart shapes for Valentine's Day.. Aww :D (Don't worry I didn't eat both; the other one was for my brother)

Hmm I just ate this like today.. this is as recent it's going to get people!
Yummy homemade nachos.. Soo fattening but yummy. :c

Party Noodles (Janchi Guksu 잔치국수)
Soo refreshing and yummy.. I ate this today too. It's thin noodles in a tasty broth and topped with sliced fried egg, green onions, julienne onions and carrots, and other veggies, as well as kimchi. so..hungry..

Big Mac and fries
I rarely have McDonald's (maybe 3-5 times a year?) but when I do, I go all out. Sooo good.. I know it's really bad and unhealthy but sometimes it just hits the spot. Of course then I go read the nutrition facts and realize I had like 3 days worth of calories in one meal. O_O (ok I exaggerate but still so many calories!)

I love food too much to lose weight.. Sometimes I try to eat as much as my brother does, and he manages to survive with only like half a sandwich and a bag of chips for the ENTIRE DAY.. I would have to eat like 98457x that much.. I think I eat too much for a person with my kind of sedentary lifestyle.. But I'm hungry all the time.. What's a girl supposed to do. :\ (Plus I eat when I'm stressed.. especially high-carb and high-fat and high-sugar foods...)

Fimo Fruit Slices on Yogurt Nail Art

Hello!

This is a nail art design inspired by luuthienluv (again) haha she has the best nail art tutorials!

Yes, compared to hers, mine are pretty fail.. But I still like them. :D I like my pinky the best.

I used these fimo fruit slices that I got from my birthday last year. They're ok; not too thin or thick but it works.

I first painted a base white layer that dripped down the tips of my nails. Then I used top coat to stick the fruit slices on my nail.

Since this was my first time using fimo slices, I didn't know exactly how to make them stick perfectly. I know now though.. T-T

Ignore my wrinkly fingers please.. T_T

Yep I didn't put them on my thumb, because they were pretty thick and 3-D that they caught in my hair and in my back pack. The color on my thumb is Modi Nails Fruits Punch or something.. I'll post about it soon!

Haha so many times where I forgot these were on my nails and I ran my hands down my hair, and they got stuck..

L-R: Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat, Rimmel French White Tip Pro, Sally Hansen White Tip, Fimo fruit slices

These lasted on my nails for a few days before they started falling off.. If you're not used to 3-D nail art, then be careful when using your fingers! They get caught in like everything..

Some things I learned when using fimo slices:
-Don't be afraid to use a lot of top coat when putting on the slices!
-Make sure to cover the top of the slices completely with top coat or else they will curl upwards when drying (like what happened to my watermelon on my pointer finger!)
-Make sure the top coat dries, though, before you do other things with your hands.
-Nail art glue is another option. I just didn't have any..
-Don't press down or move around the slices if they start to bend away from the nail while drying. I did that and the white nail polish smudged and agh and yeah..

Next time I might only put one or two slices on each nail.. My nails were too short to put three on each nail without them overlapping each other completely. Overall, it was a good experience! The slices really make your nails pop out especially since they're 3-D. Now I want to buy some gemstones!
