Memorial Day shopping~

Hi guys~

I went shopping this past weekend and actually bought some clothes! I know it's not much, but I usually never buy clothes.. I don't have a sense of style. T_T but I'm gonna change that.. hopefully soon!

H&M White top on sale for $7
I like how it's thin. Bad part is that the fabric prevents air ventilation, so it can get pretty hot even though it's thin.

AE short shorts for 40% off!
Just a basic pair of jean shorts for the summer.

Hollister shorts on clearance for ~$12 each?
I actually bought these online a while back..

Now that I think about it, I don't know why I bought so many shorts. I have medium, warm-toned skin so I tan and get sun spots REALLY easily. Like no joke, I wore these shorts when I went shopping a few days ago, and I already have tons of new freckles/sun spots and a tan line on my thighs. -_- I envy my friends who can stay in the sun for HOURS and just get minor redness. No freckles, no speckles, no awkward tan lines. Maybe sun spots were useful for camouflaging back when we were cavemen and we lived in jungles. I don't know.. ^_^;;

CVS Haul!

Hello~

I went to CVS again to take advantage of their massive clearance. I guess I went crazy and bought a lot of stuff. I am weak when it comes to sales or clearances.. T_T But since everything was 50-75% off, I saved a lot of money. :D
L-R: Covergirl Lashblast Length, Maybelline Line Stylist Eyeliner in Black Sparkle, Revlon Colorstay  eyeshadow quad in 520 Brazen, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City, Revlon Lip butter in Brown Sugar (for my mama), Cherry Tart (already reviewed)
Here are the cosmetics I bought.. I'm ready for prom! lol I actually don't wear makeup. I just kinda bought some essential items that I thought I would use in the future. I know I'm missing some crucial items like concealer and primer, etc.

Wow I bought a lot... but they were all 75% off~

L-R: Revlon Gumdrop, Bubble Gum, Cotton Candy, Mad About Mango
I found out at home that Gumdrop had a crack in the handle. I hope it doesn't dry out. D:

L-R: Rimmel French White Tip, Revlon Calla Lily, Provence

L-R: WnW Spoiled in First Class Only, Shrimp on the Barbie

My combined nail polish haul from May.. Sigh.. My collection has really grown since a year ago..

I hope this was at least somewhat interesting.. I don't know about you guys, but I always find it interested to see what other people in the world are buying. It also makes me feel less bad when I buy nail polish. ^_^

Since our summer vacation started, I'm really going to start painting my nails more often! That is, after I study and get SAT subject tests over with this Saturday.. I should really start reviewing, but for the past few days I've been so unmotivated to study. I've been so caught up with emotions that I'm procrastinating. Oh well.. I can just read a few chapters of U.S. history and biology for the next few days. Woohoo cram nights! T_T

Spring Trip

Hi guys~

This is sort of late but I went to New Orleans during spring break. It was my first time being there, so it was pretty cool. I haven't gone on a trip for a few years now so it was nice to just chill and hang out with the family.

Ahh palm trees! I haven't seen these since my childhood. The weather was so nice by the way... *-*
Just thought it was interesting that the building was built at a time when that was the correct way to spell fiber. The building was superrrr old.. Since I took APUSH this past year, I thought of the New York Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. T_T I kinda want to go back to those times, but not at the same time. Where I come from there isn't anything really old, so it was cool to see these buildings.

Haha if you look closely, you can see that all the people waiting in line for fish and chips are dressed up! Apparently we went to New Orleans when they were hosting some event for the American Chemical Society. Pretty cool eh?

Creepy Mardi Gras guy... It looked down on us as we went inside the souvenir shop.

Ahh I wanted all of these! But it ate up my first two quarters so I just left...in despair. D: Once I get a job I'm going to start collecting plushies...

Yummy beignets from some cafe in Riverwalk! Apparently they're square, fried, French donuts covered generously with powdered sugar. So good.. >_<

I know I'm missing the important part of New Orleans.. the party! Lol it's true; every night in New Orleans is like Mardi Gras! There were tons of parties everywhere and people drinking neon colored margaritas and stuff I think. I got to see two wedding processions! On the street, the bride and the groom led the way and behind them was a marching band and all of the guests were drinking and laughing. Personally, I always imagined my wedding to be somewhere bright and fresh, during the daytime. I guess some people like to party hard, even for their wedding haha.
Anyways, the trip was pretty fun! The seafood was soo good and soo fresh. >_> I hope I can come back with my friends, cause it's kind of awkward to party hard with your family haha. We spent one night and two days there. The hotel was super humid and my skin broke out into rashes like crazy. -_- Oh well...

Til next time!  (/^▽^)/

Revlon Lip Butter: Cherry Tart Swatch and Review

Hello~

Here are swatches and a review of Revlon's lip butter in Cherry Tart. I know these came out a looooong time ago, but these are my two cents.
You can see some shimmer in the lip butter, but on the skin, it pretty much disappears.

Under artificial light

In sunlight

On paper..

My only complaint is that the bottom grip is so small. I sometimes have trouble trying to remove the cap.

Overall: I love the lip butter! It's really moisturizing and smooth, and I love how it's not thick so you can do a thin layer or a thick layer of color depending on your taste. It's sort of like a jelly balm... lol I'm not that good at explaining lip products yet haha. But anyways, it's a good product for your money!
This particular shade, Cherry Tart, is a cool red yet neutral on the lips, if you know what I mean. It's that perfect shade of red for people who don't really want a bold lip statement.

Summer shopping~

Hey guys!

As some of you may know, I follow G., an amazing blogger and founder of Nouveaucheap. Thanks to her blog and her dedicated readers, I was able to get some nice products for 50-75% off! Woohoo!

CVS haul
L-R: Maybelline Line Stylist Eyeliner in Black Sparkle, Orly Butterflies, Lollipop, Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart

I got the eyeliner and nail polishes for 50% off. For the lip butter, in addition to its' 75% off, I listened to a reader on nouveau cheap and used a printable $2 off coupon, making the final price $0.07! Wowzers.
My only "complaint" is that the lip butter was used. I don't like it when people swatch lip products and leave behind a dented mess. Time to clean it up.

I went to Urban Outfitters for the first time with my friends yesterday. The prices are a little too high for me, but I really liked their styles. I got these polishes for $0.99 each! Score! They're all so pretty; I think I realized that I'm attracted to glitters.

L-R: Lollipop, Bright Lights, Dust

Haha I remember a time when I knew the names of every single polish I owned... Hahaha funny...
I applied for part time jobs today. I hope at least one of them accept me, because I really want to experience what it's like to work, and also because I'd like some monies to buy nail polish/clothes/makeup. Wish me luck guys!

China Glaze - Aquadelic Swatches and Comparison

Hello~

Sorry for not posting for a while.. School makes people busy. -_-
But anyways, today I have China Glaze's Aquadelic! This is by far one of my favorite turquoise polishes. My search for a bright turquoise has finally come to an end.

This is two coats. Formula is great!
Aquadelic looks a little darker in indirect light..
From L-R: Essie: Where's my chauffeur?, Turquoise and Caicos, China Glaze: For Audrey, Aquadelic

Now for the comparisons...

L-R: Turquoise and Caicos, Where's my chauffeur?, For Audrey, Aquadelic, CG- Kinetic Candy (just for fun)

You can tell that For Audrey is dustier than Aquadelic, Turquoise and Caicos is more green, Where's my chauffeur is more blue, and Kinetic Candy is just dustier and more sky blue.

Overall: Aquadelic has a great formula, maybe a little thick but there's always nail polish thinner. If only I had found Aquadelic earlier - I probably wouldn't have bought Where's my Chauffeur? and For Audrey. I guess I'm not really a fan of dusty colors yet. I like colors that are bright and fun and go BAM.

'Til next time! ^^
