NOTD/Review: Metallic Pink

Hola Amigas,

I had a little bit of free time today and I thought I would paint my nails. I originally wanted to paint my nails blue, but I ended up painting them pink..

The Nail of the Day (NOTD) is a combination of 2 colors:

Left: butter London's Fairy Lights - A metallic rose pink color. I don't love the formula of this color, it is somewhat difficult to work with, but it dries fast and is opaque in one coat.
Right: Essie Fiji - My Go-To light pink color. It is streaky and hard to work with in the beginning, but in the end, it becomes a beautiful light pink.

2 Coats Below:
Fairy Lights-Pointer finger and Pinky. Fiji- Thumb, Third finger, Ring finger.

Did you all like this combo? 'cause I sure did :)

Have a Great Weekend!

Random Post: Festive Cupcakes

Hello Again,

I've been craving cupcakes lately and I was looking up recipes when I found this:

They're so cute! I kinda wanna make them..

That's all I have to say about the cupcakes. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. :D

Cookie-Brownie Delight (?)

Merry Christmas everyone!

I woke up pretty late today, but baked cookie-brownie bars!
Sorry it's not from scratch..
It looks so fluffy!
 Before the oven

After the oven

Close enough.

I thought the cookie dough would spread out while baking to create a better marble effect, but I guess not. :/
The brownies were very soft... but tasted good. I probably wouldn't buy this again though... Too fattening x_x and I've already gained like 5 kg this month.

Is it just me or does Christmas feel weird this year?

Happy holidays! hohoho

Sale!

Happy Holidays Everybody :D

I recently went to Sally's Beauty Supply Store to look for the Cirque De Solei collection but all the colors I had wanted were sold out :(

Anyway, I saw that Sally's were having their 2 for $11 sale on China Glaze, and I bought 2 polishes. I only have one to show you guys because I gave the other one to Hazelnut...

CG's Secret Peri-Wink-Le

It's a gorgeous periwinkle cream color. The formula is a bit runny, and sheerer (when applied) than I thought it would be.

2 Coats:

I hope you all enjoyed my first post!

I tried... - Essie/OPI James Bond

Hi guys!

I'm back... with nails. It's been months since I've last painted my nails, which explains my failure today.
Since I grew out my nails, I guessed I would do some pretty nail art.

L-R: To buy or not to buy, clambake

It started out fine.
And then I tried to add french tips to the red nails.

I jumped the gun. The nail tape ended up peeling off my red base. So this is what I ended up with. T_T

I erased the messy nails and just kept it clean and simple.

My other hand ended up like this. I had enough of essie's sheer, streaky lavender.

L-R: OPI Goldeneye, OPI Die another day, China Glaze Glistening Snow

Overall...
Clambake: Great formula, very pretty color: a bright, orange-y red. Needs more than one coat.
To buy or not to buy: AGHHHH the formula for this one was disappointing... the color is pretty though. There is very tiny micro-glitter in the polish but you can barely see it. :( I would just use this for designs.
Die another day: Slightly metallic, shimmery orange-y red. Formula is great, but as you can see, one coat is not enough to cover the nail line. I put it on this afternoon, and it's already chipping! (I didn't use a topcoat btw.)
Goldeneye: SO PRETTY. It's so sparkly, and AHH my camera can not pick up all of the shimmery goodness.
Glistening Snow: So pretty as well! But you probably want a topcoat, b/c without it the polish dries pretty rough. Tiny micro-glitter makes it so sparkly, especially in sunlight.

I tried guys... holiday manicures are tough. I'll just call today an experiment. I promise I'm not this bad.

Til next time!

Shopping!

Hey muffins.

I went shopping with Ginger today, and bought some lovely things. *coughnailpolishcough*
I swear I wasn't thinking of buying anymore this year, but China Glaze's Cirque du Soleil collection had so many pretty colors...

L-R: Peachy Keen, Surreal Appeal, Hanging in the Balance, Black Shatter

I know Peachy Keen isn't from the selection but I was too late to buy It's a Trap-eze! at my local Ulta, so I just ended up getting that. I had a 20% off coupon, and China Glaze was buy two get one free! Including the OPI crackle, (I've been meaning to get one for a while now), which was on clearance for 3.99, my total came out to about $15! Pretty good for me, since I usually miss the nice deals. I can't wait to wear these colors during the summer!

I stopped by the mall and picked this up for my friend at American Eagle. It was 40% off your total purchase today! Yay! ^^ I hope she likes it...

Woop woop

Hi guys!
My friend and I *finally* created a blog. I've always wanted to start one but never had the time.. Hopefully winter break will give us the boost to continue posting throughout the year! I'll mostly post about nails, food, cute stuff and a few other beauty-related things. Maybe a few personal posts here and there, with some pics sprinkled in. Oh, and I loooove Rilakkuma. ^^
Enjoy!
