My makeup collection

Hello hello~

Today I wanted to share the makeup collection of a total makeup noob. I think I have enough makeup to last me for a while, since I don't wear makeup on a daily basis. I'm more into nail polish.. huehue -_-;; But I haven't actually tried all of these products yet, because I don't like to open things if I'm not going to use them right away..

This is where I store all of my makeup.. I like to keep in here because I don't exactly have a set place to do my makeup. If I keep all my supplies in here, I can conveniently take it to a place where there's a mirror.

Yup.. lotsa stuff... I bought everything here just this year. :P

False eyelashes: I have a pair of half-lashes and a pair of dolly-ish lashes for cosplay. I bought the Revlon precision lash glue, which works extremely well. I like false lashes, and I'm planning to buy a pair of more natural looking ones. :D

The top pencil liner is Wet n Wild's Coloricon eyeliner in black.. I haven't used it yet. T_T

The second one down in the metal casing is Physician's Formula liquid eyeliner in black. It's really good for detailed lining, because it has a thin, felt tip. 

The third one down is Milani Liquid Eye liquid-like eye liner pencil in black. It's a very nice, creamy pencil liner that is retractable, so no sharpening! 

The Wet n Wild gel liner in black works very well, but I prefer liquid or pencil. I'm just too lazy to clean the brush after using gel liner.. I heard it's a nice drugstore alternative to Bobbi Brown's gel liners.

The one on the very right is Wet n Wild Mega liner liquid eye liner in black. It is a brush tip that is much thicker than the Physician's formula one, but you can still get clean, sharp lines. I didn't buy the waterproof version so I could practice with this one and easily wash it off with water.

These are all of my eyeshadows.. 

Revlon Colorstay eyeshadow pan in Brazen: I don't really recommend this one, as most of the colors were chalky and crumbly, with lots of fallout.. I regret buying it.. T_T

Wet n Wild Don't Steal my Thunder: has nice colors.. I haven't tried it yet.. -.-

Milani Shadow Eyez in Brown Deluxe and Winter White: Very pigmented, long lasting eyeshadow pencils. I just have to buy a jumbo eye pencil sharpener now..

Physician's Formula Natural nude and Classic nude palettes: These have some very nice colors. Most of them are shimmers, with a few matte colors.. I bought these for BOGO free, and probably wouldn't have bought them without that deal. I tried it a few times, but the color payoff wasn't very impressive. I might try them with primer next time.

Maybelline Color tattoo in Barely Branded: This would be a great all-around base color. I haven't opened this one either.. I don't like to open things unless I'm going to use them right away..

Chantecaille: This black eyeshadow is a matte black that I found in my mom's very small makeup stash.. She doesn't wear eye makeup, but I use this for shading in my brows.. it works! haha...

Clinique lash doubling mascara: I got this mascara as part of a sample set. Haven't tried it yet..

Covergirl lash blast length water resistant mascara: This really does lengthen your lashes! It's really noticeable, and paired with a volume-increasing mascara, you could really make your lashes thicker and beauuutifullll.

Maybelline Great Lash I See Blue mascara: I really wanted to try a colored mascara, and reviews for this shade were relatively positive. I'll try it soon.

Elf smudge brush, eyeshadow brush, and eyelid primer: I bought these because they were inexpensive and work pretty well. The eyelid primer I haven't tried yet, but I will soooon! 

The mini brush in the middle came with the Wet n Wild gel liner, but I use it to fill in my brows. hehehe..

So yup, this is my makeup stash. -_- I don't plan on getting any more, because I'm saving up for the Naked 1 palette. Oops I forgot to include my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, and my Revlon concealers.. I don't really plan on wearing makeup every day, because I'm super lazy and I hate removing makeup, so I'm going to try very hard to keep my makeup stash as small as possible. This amount is perfect for a noob like me.

Drugstore Haul! and no-buy attempt #1

Phew it's September already! Kicking off the new month with a drugstore haul.. I need to stop shopping. T.T I bought these from my local drugstores a few days ago.. I got some great deals too. :D I just finished some college stuffs, so I'm feeling somewhat productive. ^_^

These were BOGO 50% off, and I was surprised because the pop art collection is pretty much sold out in all the other areas! If only they had the eyeshadow trios as well.. But you know me. I always try to find a way to use all my blues.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in LE I See Blue

This mascara is soo pretty! I saw people wear it and the color was really vibrant! Can't wait to try it out! Still thinking on how I'm going to pull it off though.. ^.^ At least the blue will neutralize yellow-y tired looking eyes..

Revlon Colorstay Concealer in 02 Light

Revlon products were 40% off last week, and I also had a $2 off coupon, so this came down from $9.99 to $3.99ish! :D I've been looking for a liquid concealer to conceal dark spots and acne scars, etc. I heard this has some salicylic acid though, so I won't use it under my eyes. :P I kinda guessed on the shade.. meh hopefully it'll match somewhat.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Barely Branded

Soo pretty! This would be a great color for an all around base coat for your eyes.. I read a lot of good reviews about color tattoos. It's like a creamy eyeshadow hybrid.. The packaging was really pretty too~ Maybelline cosmetics were BOGO 1/2 off, so I got this and the mascara. Not the most wonderful savings, but hey better than nothing!

The packaging is solid; the glass makes it really feel sturdy and expensive haha.. ^-^;;

Milani Shadow Eyez in Brown Deluxe, Winter White and Milani Liquid Eye Pencil in Black

Milani products at CVS last week were buy $10 get $5 back in extra bucks. (which is pretty much 50% off!)

The shadow eyez look really pretty.. They're both sorta shimmer-y or metallic-y? I was thinking of using the brown shade as a natural, everyday shade on the crease part of my lids (if i had any T.T) and the white to brighten the inner corners of my eyes. YouTube has taught me well. \o/

I've read great reviews about these.. I hope they live up to their expectations!

Milani Liquid Eye liner in Black

ohhh I was supposed to buy the liquif'eye eyeliner, but I realized that I accidentally got the liquid eye liner pencil instead.. oh well.. T.T Hopefully both of them are equal in quality! I actually bought a no-sharpen pencil liner in black from another brand, but man it was not pigmented at all! You had to tug on your eyelid and go over it multiple times for some sort of line to show! I hope this one is richer in color..

No-buy!
Oh man I've been spending too much lately.. I will officially go on a no-buy starting now! The no-buy will include anything beauty or nail related. I still don't have a matte brown eyeshadow for natural, photo friendly looks, but I'll have to make do with what I have. :P I think my (relatively) small makeup stash will last me well past next summer. They say you should replace mascara every few months.. I only have one though. and it's been opened. o.o Let's see what happens ohoho. Oh my no-buy will also include any unnecessary foods like snacks and junk foods and stuff. That means no more ice cream. T^T

Edit: I'm actually going to start this no-buy after I buy some things for cosplay.. I forgot that I still have to buy a liquid felt tip eyeliner and some false lashes/eyelash glue..

I'll have a nail post soon.. I've been kinda busy and too tired to paint my nails lately. -.- #brutalhonesty

Drugstore Haul!

Hello~

It's only been a week, but I feel like I haven't posted in forever! I have mb camp this week from 3-10pm everyday, so I've been a bit busy. On top of that, I try to get as much summer hw done during the day. (Ahh why did I procrastinate...again...) 

Anyways, here is a drugstore haul! I bought these last week. 

Since I don't have much makeup, I don't feel as bad for hauling it haha. I think I should stop here though... T.T

I'm pretty happy with my purchases. I was originally looking for the limited edition Wet n Wild palettes that were recently re-released, but they never came to the drugstores in my area.. D: Oh well. But yay, now I have different colors to experiment with!! :D

I'm starting to feel the school year coming along... Soon I'll forget how the outside world looks like because I'll be in my room studying all the time. >.< Oh dang it's August already?? What??? nOO summer where did you goooo...

Another mini haul

I know I'm posting a lot lately, but that's because I'll be going on a trip this weekend and I'll be busy starting next week with camp so I don't think I'll be able to post as much anymore. D:

Anyways, here's a haul from around a week ago~

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 180 Medium Beige

I bought this at first, but then people told me it looked like it would be too dark for my skin. I did Revlon's shade match thing-y on their website and chose medium and warm for my skin tone. This was the recommended shade, but I guess I'm between medium and light...?

Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Light, Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 130 Shell

I went back the next day and exchanged my unopened 180 Medium beige for 130 Shell. I know, big jump, but that was the only thing they had besides100 and 120.. I also got a stick concealer. I just hope the concealer isn't too light for my skin tone! Time to start wearing hats and sun protection more often!

I'm a make up noob right now.. I don't like to wear make up because I'm too lazy to erase it, especially waterproof eyeliner!! This was my first time buying concealer and foundation ahaha! I got them for a great deal, so I'm satisfied. I never realized how difficult putting on liquid eyeliner was until recently as well... -.-

I also stopped by a crafts store!

some felting wool~ I wanted to try out needle felting after seeing Bubzbeauty's videos.

Also got myself some reinforcement labels to make half moon nails!

Drillbur, Pansage, and Woobat!

I can't believe they had Pokemon plushies at the crafts store! They were moderately priced too! They're all Gen V pokemon, so I'm not very familiar with them. All I know is that the one on the wayy left, Drillbur, is super annoying in the games because it one hit KO's all of my pokemon. T_T

CVS Haul!

Hello~

I went to CVS again to take advantage of their massive clearance. I guess I went crazy and bought a lot of stuff. I am weak when it comes to sales or clearances.. T_T But since everything was 50-75% off, I saved a lot of money. :D

Here are the cosmetics I bought.. I'm ready for prom! lol I actually don't wear makeup. I just kinda bought some essential items that I thought I would use in the future. I know I'm missing some crucial items like concealer and primer, etc.

My combined nail polish haul from May.. Sigh.. My collection has really grown since a year ago..

I hope this was at least somewhat interesting.. I don't know about you guys, but I always find it interested to see what other people in the world are buying. It also makes me feel less bad when I buy nail polish. ^_^

Since our summer vacation started, I'm really going to start painting my nails more often! That is, after I study and get SAT subject tests over with this Saturday.. I should really start reviewing, but for the past few days I've been so unmotivated to study. I've been so caught up with emotions that I'm procrastinating. Oh well.. I can just read a few chapters of U.S. history and biology for the next few days. Woohoo cram nights! T_T
